What hub do I need to use this device?
Dahua AirShield wireless devices pair with a DHI-ARC3800H series hub. The hub connects to your home Wi-Fi or Ethernet and reports to the DMSS app on your phone.
Does it require a subscription?
No — basic alarm functionality and notifications via the DMSS app are free. Optional cloud video storage (for AirShield cameras) has a separate subscription.
What's the wireless range?
Up to 1,200m line-of-sight from the hub in open conditions, or roughly 30–50m through typical residential walls. Repeaters (DHI-ARM310) can extend coverage in larger sites.
How long does the battery last?
Most AirShield sensors run on a single 3V lithium battery for 3–5 years under typical use. The hub displays battery levels per device in the DMSS app.
