CCTV Camera Systems

Complete CCTV camera systems for Australian homes and businesses. Whether you call them security camera systems, surveillance kits, or CCTV packages, every bundle on this page ships ready to record — with cameras, a matched NVR recorder, surveillance-grade hard drive, all cabling, and a step-by-step setup guide. No spec sheets, no compatibility puzzles, no missing parts on installation day.

4 vs 8 vs 16 channel systems

  • 4-channel — single-storey homes covering front door, back door, driveway and a side gate. The most common residential choice.
  • 8-channel — two-storey homes, larger properties, or small businesses needing perimeter plus interior coverage. Includes spare channels for future expansion.
  • 16-channel — commercial premises, warehouses, multi-building sites, or large rural properties. Supports the widest range of camera additions.

CCTV Kits

"CCTV kit" is another name for a bundled CCTV package — every CCTV camera kit on this page includes IP cameras, a matched NVR recorder, a surveillance-grade hard drive, all required Cat6 cabling, mounting hardware, and a setup guide in one box. Choose from 4-camera home CCTV kits up to 16-camera commercial systems.

Complete Security Camera Systems: Residential vs Commercial Sizing

Choosing the right security camera system size depends on the property type and how many entry points need coverage:

  • Residential systems (4–8 cameras) — typical homes: front door, back door, driveway, side gates, garage interior. A 4-channel kit covers a single-storey home; 8-channel handles two-storey homes and properties with detached structures (sheds, granny flats).
  • Light commercial systems (8–16 cameras) — small retail, cafés, offices, dental practices, workshops: front entrance, register or reception area, customer floor, staff back-of-house, and external perimeter. Choose 16-channel for room to expand as the business grows.
  • Commercial & industrial systems (16+ cameras) — warehouses, multi-tenant buildings, hospitality venues, construction sites: perimeter coverage, loading docks, internal corridors, common areas, and high-value zones. May require multiple recorders or a 32/64-channel enterprise NVR — contact us for a custom quote.

Why buy a CCTV package instead of individual parts?

Buying a complete CCTV security package is the smartest way to set up surveillance for your home or business. Every component — the cameras, the NVR or DVR recorder, the cabling, and the power supply — is chosen to work seamlessly together out of the box.

When you mix and match individual parts, you risk compatibility issues between camera resolution, recorder channels, power requirements, and lens types. Our packages eliminate that guesswork entirely. Each bundle is tested and matched by our technical team to ensure plug-and-play reliability from day one.

Whether you need a 4-camera starter kit for a small home, an 8-camera system for a large property, or a business-grade 16-channel IP setup with PoE switching, there's a package here that fits your exact situation — and your budget.

Guaranteed compatibility

Every component in each package is tested together — no guessing, no returns due to mismatched specs.

How to choose the right package

Follow these four steps to find the perfect CCTV system for your property.

01

Count your coverage zones

Walk your property and count the entry points, driveways, and blind spots you need to cover. Each zone typically needs one camera.

02

Choose IP or analogue

IP (NVR) systems offer higher resolution and flexible cabling. Analogue (DVR) systems are more budget-friendly and great for upgrades.

03

Pick your resolution

2MP is ideal for general monitoring. 4MP and 8MP (4K) give you the detail needed to identify faces and number plates at distance.

04

Select your package

Browse below and filter by camera count, resolution, and system type. Every package ships with all cables, recorder, and power supply included.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before buying a CCTV package in Australia.

Our CCTV packages include all the hardware you need for a complete installation: IP or analogue cameras, a multi-channel NVR or DVR recorder with a pre-installed hard drive, all required cabling (typically pre-cut RJ45 or coaxial), a power supply or PoE switch, and a mouse for the recorder. Some packages also include mounting hardware and a monitor cable. Everything is itemised on each product page.
Yes. Every package we sell includes the cables, connectors, and power supply required for a standard installation. For IP NVR packages with PoE, the PoE switch or PoE recorder powers the cameras directly over the network cable — no separate power adapter per camera is needed. DVR packages include a multi-port power supply and siamese coaxial cables. You should not need to purchase additional components for a standard setup.
Yes — our packages are designed for straightforward DIY installation. Each product page includes a recommended installation guide and we have detailed how-to articles in our Learning Centre covering cable routing, recorder setup, remote viewing configuration, and more. If you get stuck, our Australian support team is available to help over the phone or email.
NVR (Network Video Recorder) systems use IP cameras that connect via standard network (Cat5e/Cat6) cable. They generally offer higher resolution, more flexible cable runs, and easier network integration. DVR (Digital Video Recorder) systems use analogue or HD-over-coax cameras. DVR systems are an excellent, cost-effective choice — especially if you are upgrading an existing analogue installation or have cable already run through your walls.
For a typical single-storey home, 4 cameras covering the front door, back door, driveway, and side gate is a solid starting point. Two-storey homes and properties with larger yards or multiple entry points typically benefit from an 8-camera system. Commercial properties, warehouses, or sites with large perimeters often require 16 channels or more. Our Learning Centre has a full guide on planning camera placement for different property types.
Yes. All cameras in our packages carry an IP66 or IP67 weather-resistance rating, making them suitable for exposed outdoor use across all Australian climates — including Queensland humidity, coastal salt air, and extreme heat. Dome cameras offer additional vandal resistance (IK10 rating) for exposed public-facing positions.
Yes. All NVR and DVR recorders in our packages support remote viewing via a free smartphone app (typically Hik-Connect or iVMS-4200 for Hikvision-based systems, or equivalent). You can view live footage, play back recordings, and receive motion alerts from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. Our setup guides walk you through the full remote access configuration.
Our packages are self-contained systems designed to work together out of the box. Mixing cameras from different manufacturers or adding older analogue cameras to a new NVR system is not recommended, as protocol compatibility cannot be guaranteed. If you need to expand an existing system, contact our team and we will advise on compatible add-on cameras or whether an upgrade package suits your needs.
For general monitoring — checking who is at the door or watching a driveway — 2MP (1080p) is sufficient. To reliably read a number plate at 4–6 metres or identify facial features, we recommend 4MP or higher. For large outdoor areas such as carparks or warehouse floors where you need detail at 10+ metres, 4K (8MP) cameras with a varifocal lens give the best results.
All packages carry a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects. Our 14-day change-of-mind return policy also applies — if the package is not right for your situation, return it in original condition within 14 days for a full refund. Extended warranty options may be available on selected products — check the individual product page for details.
